Hotplate Welding
JOINING TECHNOLOGIES
This is a simple and versatile process used to join plastic materials. The joint interface is heated up to its melting point, causing it to plasticise. The parts are then clamped together to form the weld. There are few restrictions on part size and geometry; the joint interface can be very complex and have both internal and external welds.
