Introduction

Parking furniture is the term we use to describe a stand, rack, rail, ring or other structure designed to accommodate a parked bicycle. Bikes can be 'fly parked' (parked/locked to street furniture not designed for bike parking) or, when its available, affixed to parking furniture designed for this purpose.

It is important to have the following definitions about the space where bike is to be parked clear in mind when selecting bike parking furniture, because different spaces require different security responses.
