Filament Winding
FORMING TECHNOLOGIES
In this process, layers of glass, aramid or carbon fibre monofilaments, coated in epoxy resin, are wound onto a shaped mandrel to produce continuous, sheet and hollow profiles for applications that demand the high performance characteristics of fibre reinforced composites. The mandrel is either removed and reused, or permanently encapsulated by the fibre reinforced composite.
