FORMING TECHNOLOGIES
This technology was developed by North Sails to make ultra lightweight, seamless three-dimensional sails. The fibre reinforcement is continuous over the entire surface of the sail, replacing traditional methods of cutting, stitching and gluing. Although this laminating technology is currently limited to sailmaking, there is potential for them to be developed for application in a variety of products such as tension structures and inflatables.
