Delivery / Work
Designed for carrying large loads, including passengers. Their primary use involves short-distance deliveries of goods and people generally in inner cities where motor vehicles are restricted by congested roads!
Purpose-built delivery bikes are typified by the "butchers bike", often used by postal services around the world. The most common have a smaller wheel and large basket or box on the front rack.
Larger loads are more easily carried if the wheels are further apart, with a low-load platform or a box in front or behind the rider (Danish "Long-John").
